34TH EUROPEAN KYOKUSHIN CHAMPIONSHIP, ŚWINOUJŚCIE (POLAND) , 24-25 SEPTEMBER 2021

The 34th Kyokushin European Championship was held in Świnoujście on September 24-25, 2021 with the participation of the national team of 18 countries. The ME was officially opened by the President of KWF, Antonio Pinero, Secretary General Andrzej Drewniak, President of PZK Maciej Sokołowski, Vice President of Świnoujście, and the Mayor of the adjacent City of Ahlbeck in Germany. The main judge was shihan Antonio Pinero, the technical judge was shihan Fernando Perez, the secretariat was supervised by shihan Andrzej Drewniak, medical protection was provided by Krzysztof Mawlichanow, MD, PhD. The secretariat was led by sensei Magda Ilczuk. The guests of honor were the Vice-President of PZK Wacław Antoniak and the Vice-President of the KWF Spanish organization Jose Lezkano. The contestants were accommodated in the 5-star Radisson Hotel, where the ceremonial Sayonara took place. On September 24, the annual EKF General Reporting Meeting was held with the participation of National Representatives, which also discussed the organizational matters of the Kyokushin World Championships in Krakow on November 19-20, 2021. The direct organizer of the championship was the Świnoujska Akademia Karate led by sensei Paweł Sujka. The next 35th European Championship is planned in Ukraine in May 2022.

KYOKUSHIN DEMONSTRATION ON THE MAIN MARKET IN KRAKOW

On August 20, 2021, the Polish Kyokushin show for TV took place on the Krakow Main Market Square as part of the promotion of the World Championships in Krakow in November 2021. Shihan Andrzej Drewniak led the shows with the participation of about 250 players and coaches. Identical two screenings were held in 1977 for the Japanese film Strongest Karate promoting the World Cup, which took place in 1979 in Tokyo. At that time, the photo from the Tower of St. Mary was the motto of the poster of the Tokyo championship.

On August 19, 2021, a conference was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Krakow press, the subject of which was to disclose information to the public about The Kyokushin Karate World Championship to be held on November 19-20, 2021. at TAURON Arena Kraków. The main organizer of this unique event is Małopolska Region Karate Association (MOZK), which acts under the authority in this regard Polish Karate Association (PZK) and the Kyokushin World Federation (KWF). The conference was attended by representatives of the KWF and PZK authorities: Shihan Antonio Pinero (9th Dan) - President of Kyokushin World Federation, Shihan Andrzej Drewniak (9th Dan) - Secretary General of the Kyokushin World Federation, Vice President of the Polish Karate Association. Mr. Grzegorz Furgał, representing the strategic sponsor of the championship, was present, which is TAURON Polska Energia S.A. MOZK, Organizational Director of the Kyokushin Karate World Championships - Krakow 2021. Awarded players of YMCA Kraków, preparing for the event, also participated in the conference participation in the championship: Sensei Michał Werner (3rd Dan), Sempai Anna Lisowska (2nd Dan), Sempai Anna Świątkowska (2nd Dan) and Sempai Szymon Świątkowski (2nd Dan). Before the beginning of the substantive part of the conference, the players of YMCA Kraków performed a spectacular show that included elements of kata, kumite and tameshiwari. After the show, at the beginning of the conference, it was emphasized that never in the history of Karate Kokushin competitions of this rank were not held in Poland, or even in Europe. It was mostly a domain Japan. This year, for the first time in history, in the heart of Europe, in the royal city of Krakow We hope to host the best karate players from around the world to compete for the title World Champion. During the conference, the key role of the Małopolska Region as a partner was emphasized the main championship and Witold Kozłowski - Marshal of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, which took the honorary patronage over the Kyokushin World Karate Championships - Krakow 2021. It was also announced to the public that it is the strategic sponsor of the championship TAURON Polska Energia S.A. Other partners who support today the championships are organized by: Skawina Commune, Krakow hotels: DoubleTree by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton and Firma JONIEC, ARKA Kancelaria Księgowo-Podatkowa. The gathered representatives of the media were informed about the preparations for the championship, plans for their course and organization, including sports competition during the championship will be held in kata and kumite competitions, in 46 age categories and that the organizers expect him to take part in the championship up to 500 competitors from all over the world. The preliminary program of the competition was presented, which in addition to sports competition, it provides attractive martial arts demonstrations - to be performed the best karate fighters, hand-to-hand combat demonstrations by the soldiers of the 21st Rifle Brigade Podhalański and artistic shows, including with the participation of the Orchestra Representative of the Carpathian Border Guard Unit.

22ND SUMMER SEMINAR OF KWF PORTUGAL

From August 5th to 8th in the quiet parish of Ermelo, best known for the beautiful waterfall of Fisgas" the 22nd SUMMER SEMINAR was held. This seminar, organized by the AKP - Kyokushinkai Portugal Federation, had the support of local entities, namely the parish council of Ermelo and the municipal council of Mondim de Basto. Holding the Summer Seminar in Ermelo was the fulfillment of an old desire of shihan Antonio Pereira. Indeed, after the 1st European Championship in May 2000 in Vila do Conde, the 5th Summer Seminar was to be held right here in Ermelo.


INTERNATIONAL KWF SUMMERCAMP IN BENASQUE (SPAIN) 29.7-1.8.2021

The International Spanish Summercamp was held in Benasque (Spain) from 29 of July to August 2021.

The camp was directed by shihan António Piñero President of KWF and took part 150 participants of The Netherlands, Russia and Spain.

During the seminar was done the grading for blacks belts with 50 candidates.
