From August 5th to 8th in the quiet parish of Ermelo, best known for the beautiful waterfall of Fisgas" the 22nd SUMMER SEMINAR was held. This seminar, organized by the AKP - Kyokushinkai Portugal Federation, had the support of local entities, namely the parish council of Ermelo and the municipal council of Mondim de Basto. Holding the Summer Seminar in Ermelo was the fulfillment of an old desire of shihan Antonio Pereira. Indeed, after the 1st European Championship in May 2000 in Vila do Conde, the 5th Summer Seminar was to be held right here in Ermelo.

The International Spanish Summercamp was held in Benasque (Spain) from 29 of July to August 2021.

The camp was directed by shihan António Piñero President of KWF and took part 150 participants of The Netherlands, Russia and Spain.

During the seminar was done the grading for blacks belts with 50 candidates.

From 13 to 27 June in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan was held seminar and certification. This seminar was attended by athletes and coaches from 5 regions of Kazakhstan. The total number was 60 people. CR Juldassov Mukhtar was the chairman of the certification committee. The assistants at the certification committee were Sensei Nurbaev Bereket (3-dan) and Sensei Juldassov Janibek (3-dan).

Dear David,

I cannot find the right words to describe what I felt when I heard that my dear friend Steve Arneil passed away. Steve and I met in the early years of Kyokushin in the 1960s. He had just returned from Japan. During the many trainings we did together, he motivated me in a way only he could. Since then, we have made many memories at different occasions all over the world. I loved working with him and cherish the moments we had together.

Together we lived the Kyokushin life. Teaching Kyokushin all over the world, aiming to make the world a more beautiful place and making people stronger and happier in life through Kyokushin. When I think of Steve, I experience deep feelings of friendship.

I will cherish his memory and wish his wife and love ones, you and all IFK members throughout the world all the strength to bear this loss.
