KWF KYOKUSHIN SPRING CAMP IN FRANCE JUNE 2011 |

Shihan Egberth Thomas, Shihan Eric Constancia, Shihan Bertrand Kron and Sensei Jérôme de Timmerman leaded a KWF Kykokushin Spring Camp in centre of France (Romorantin) from June 2-5, 2011. One hundred students came from Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Tunisia, Morocco, and France. Sensei Derek Jonxis, Alain leclerc, Victor Texeira (European Champion), and more than 40 Sempai were present to work with a true Kyokushin spirit, Kata, Kihon, Bunkai, Kumite but also fundamentals of Martial Arts. Shihan Bertrand Kron gave to everybody his special way of teaching kata beginning with Bunkai to understand the application before learning the combination of technique. Sensei de Timmerman (French national coach) leaded various courses for the national teams present. Shihan Thomas and Constancia gave a special training that all the students will keep in their mind. Special balloon sauna training, river training, tameshiwari, Kumité and rank test until Sandan were scheduled during the 4 days. This Kyokushin seminar was opened to all styles of karate and all Kyokushin groups, adults and children. During the seminar, Shihan Bertrand Kron presented 2 new DVD's done with a professional movie producer. These DVD's content the whole technical syllabus from 10th Kyu until Shodan (Kihon, Ido Keiko, and so on) and complete the 3 first DVD's which content all the Katas and Bunkai (information on http://www.kyokushinkai-france.com/1dvd.htm) Organiser of the event was FKOK the French organisation representing KWF in France. KWF KYOKUSHIN KARATE SEMINAR KALININGRAD 2011 |

Another KWF seminar took part in Kalinigrad, Russia as a part of Kyokushin developement program in this region. Leading instructors were Shihan Andre Drewniak and Sensei Robert Wajgelt from Poland. This seminar was opened to all karate styles. Several meetings with regional leaders and Kaliningrad City representatives took place, where the program of World Kyokushin Federation was introduced. Examination for Kyu and Dan took place for Kaliningrad kyokushin karate students and the local cities in this region. Invitation for the East European Summer Camp in Cracow and international tournaments in Swinoujscie and Sieradz was handed. Organiser of the event was Kaliningrad Kyokushin Karate League leaded by Sensei Sergei Soldatov.
Next KWF Seminar will take place on June 3-5 in Lviv, Ukraine.

INTERNATIONAL KYOKUSHIN CHILDREN AND JUNIOR TOURNAMENT GODERVILLE |

On May 21-22, 2011 the International Kyokushin Children and Junior Tournament took place in Goderville, France. Leaded by Shihan Bertrand Kron (member of KWF Board) and Sempai Marc Rose (President of the French Kyokushin Organisation), this third Kyokushin European Cup was an incredible success this year.
With French All Styles Federation and Sport Ministry agreement, the city of Goderville in Normandy welcomed 250 fighters from France, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Indian Ocean, Tajikistan, Russia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belgium, Morocco and Tunisia. As all the KWF events, the championship was 'open' and we had the pleasure to welcome fighters from Tezuka, ShinKyokushin, IFK or IKO delegations. Shihan Hristo Traikov (Vice President of KWF), Shihan Aloys te Braake, Shihan Zanibekh Juldassov, Shihan Eric Constancia and high ranks from various countries enjoyed the event.
The sport hall was absolutly full and organisation had to refuse some people for safety reasons.
The Championship welcomed the Vice-president of the French All styles Federation league, Sempai Philippe Dignoire, and President of the Kyokushin committee in this Federation, Sensei Jacky Lajoinie, both former Kyokushin students of Shihan Bertrand Kron during 20 years.
Fights were strong as Kyokushin use to show, but with the French full contact Kyokushin rules with protection there were no injuries, no cry! Boys and girls, children from 6 years old until 18, coaches, leaders and supporters were really happy of this day of peace, pleasure, sweat and. Kyokushin way as Sosai learned us.
During the event, Shihan Hristo Traikov from Bulgaria presented 5 demo fights with the 'profitKyokushin' rules, presenting the new professional Kyokushin league.

On March 28, 2011 International Conference "Kyokushin In The Modern World" took place in Moscow, Russia. For the first time, leaders of different Kyokushin organisations participated in this historical event organised by Russian Ministry. The following representatives were present: Yurii Trutniev - President of Russian Kyokushin Association, Hatsuo Royama - President of Kyokushinkan, Kenji Sugekawa - General Secretary of Kyokushinkan, Hristo Traikov - Kyokushin World Federation, William Keaveneney - General Secretary of IFK, David Pickthall - British IFK, Ivo Kamenov - Bulgarian Kyokushin Federation. Additionally Russian representatives, such as Alexander Ipatov - Russian IKO, Sergei Suvorov - Russian KWF, Nikolai Malikov - Russian Oyama Karate, Mihail Slipenchuk - Russian Kyokushin Karate Federation, Sergei Ryabukin - Russian Kyokushinkai Federation, Alexander Tanyushkin - Russian IFK, were also present.
Shihan Yurii Trutnev opened the conference and during one of his speeches he expressed his opinion that we all have to follow the international sports law, so the World Union will use the European sports law for basic establishment of its regulations.
On behalf of Kyokushin World Federation Member of the Board Shihan Hristo Traykov represented our point of view. He stated clearly several times, that the World Union should be focused on European law of sports and should be fully democratic.
General agreement was reached in the end of the conference and the leaders present in Moscow signed the declaration of co-operation, within the common body called the World Kyokushin Union.
