In 1968 Sosai Masutatsu Oyama asked Shihan Loek Hollander to establish the European Kyokushin Organisation, then EKKO came to reality, and following his wish a democratic organisation was formed, according to the European sport laws.
During many years until he passed away, we all worked together in harmony, and whenever problems arise, he always discussed and asked for advice to come to final conclusions for the main interest of all IKO members, in a positive way.
After Sosais dead, Mr. Matsui was presented to take over the leadership of the Organization, that time nobody objects to it. However not too long after, another group of Japanese instructors, decided individually to change him as a leader of IKO, as they did not believe he was the real successor of Sosai. Shihan Loek Hollander and me, among other foreigner fought, for him so he could keep such position, until a possible democratic election could take part, and to be decided by the whole world wide election. This other Japanese group did not accepted, so obviously another new organisation was formed by the other group.
So both of us, it was just a simple matter of principles and democracy.
For quite a long period of time, things were good in both ways for IKO and for EKKO, not too many problems, good relationships etc. But for about the last four years, things started to deteriorate, as a lot of problems arise. As problems of paying certificates in Japan or New York. One person or a different one interfering of some of IKO staff, in some cases new Branch Chiefs were decided prior to consultation to any of us. When we suggested new ones these were ignored, people paid certificates. Still we have not received it, totally interfering with the European Sport Rules. Because of their ignorance trying to impose the drawing from IKO Honbu, as well ignoring once more that this is complete illegal and if Sport Ministry will know this can punished even with jail.
Any way I could go much further about many other situations but majority of you already know that such a way of acting was the perfect politic to destroy our EKKO.
Last about this subject. At the last European Championship General Meeting they announce unilaterally the cancellation of EKKO once more without previous discussion or consultation, to EKKO Board and International Committee Member Shihan Loek Hollander.
Once more they ignored us. They did not care about the effort, period and hard work that many of us had to for EKKO to be Officially Register and Approved by European Court.
I personally will not work under the leadership of a private company. And a boss or whatever, which nobody knows which person is the leader or owner.
I will put all my effort to work for a democratic Organisation which everyone is welcome to participate and express themselves without any fare.
So I ask you to join us. Together and united in this new project, as a continuation of Sosai's Oyama wish, which has a future and a fantastic potential and experience with the best recognized Instructors.
Do not let other persons to fool you with lies and false promises, like new upgrades, position etc.
We only offer you an open and honest organisation. Sincerity, dialogue and a lot of work for the future to give it to the next generation like the way Mas Oyama taught us and give you the destiny that you deserve.
