Seminar Report
With the arrival of Shihan Antonio Pereira in Mauritius, a series of seminars were held across the island at the following Dojos: Friday, January 10: Seminar on Kumite and Kihons techniques at the Goodlands Dojo. Saturday, January 11: Seminar on Kihons and Yakusoku Kumite at Bambous Gymansium. Sunday, January 12: Summer training at Flic en Flac beach. Monday, January 13: Seminar for black and brown belts on Renraku and Kata at the Vacoas Dojo. Tuesday, January 14: Seminar for black and brown belt on advanced Kata at Coromadel Dojo. January 25: Arbitration Seminar at Vacoas Dojo. The Seminars had a total of 110 participants actively participating in the different trainings and wide dissemination in the different media in the country, Star Newspaper, Defi-Plus Magazine, the summer training on the beach was presented in the Sport News of 20 00 on the National Television channel , MCB1, on the same day; Sunday, January 12th.Text by Sandip Vencatakistnen.
Competition Report
The 1st National Kyokushin KWF Karate Championship Mauritius was held in the gymnasium of Swami Sivananda State secondary school in Bambous on January 26, 2020 starting at 10 am and ending at 9 pm. The championship received the participation of 150 fighters divided into 15 categories in Kumite and 20 participants in Kata divided into 3 categories. The championship was attended by 11 athletes from Reunion Island.two 2 teams of referees and judges for kumite and one for kata. Shihan Antonio Pereira was the supreme judge of the championship, Sensei Vivegananda Vencatakistnen the President and Sempai Yousouf Ramjan the Vice President.. We had 2 tatami for the A and B qualifiers and 1 tatami for the Semi and Final.
