TV COVERAGE FROM THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS WARSAW 2004

     During the  European Championships in Warsaw 1 hour TV coverage was recorded. It included the most important events of the championships. Commentator was shihan Lesław Samitowski from Chicago and TV presenter was Mr. A. Kwiatek from Tele 5.
     The coverage was shown on Polish digital platform Tele 5 on November 29th (Monday) and repeated on 30th November (Tuesday). Also short reports on Polish TV stations: TVP2, TVP3 and TVN have been shown.

Organiser of the Championships is preparing the DVD, which will be available to buy in the next few weeks.


4TH EUROPEAN OPEN CATEGORY CHAMPIONSHIPS WARSAW 2004

      On November 27th in the Sports-Hall Torwar in Warsaw 4th European Open Category Championships under honorary patronage of the President of Poland were held. There ware 88 competitors from 19 countries. More than 5000 spectators came to see the Championships. The Polish Kyokushin Karate Organization was an organizer. The main judge  was shihan Antonio Pinero (7 dan). The honourable guest of the championships was the member of International Committe IC IKO shihan Loek Hollander (8 dan).

      The official opening of the 4th European Open Category Championships in the name of the President Aleksander Kwasniewski executed the chairman of Polands Olympian Committe Mr Stefan Paszczyk.

During the championships a One Match Fight between Poland and Japan was held.

The World's Strongest Man 2003, Mariusz Pudzianowski was a special quest of the championships and gave a demonstration of his unique skills and strenght.

The tournament draw, detailed results and photos were being updated LIVE from Warsaw, Poland.

THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL BLACK BELT CONFERENCE BANFF 2004

     Banff, Alberta, Canada situated in the middle of the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains played host to 150 enthusiastic Kyokushin Karate members from various parts of the world.
    The 4th North American & International Kyokushin Karate Black Belt Conference was held on October 8th, 9th and 10th at the world famous Banff Centre. Participants for Canada, United States, Singapore, Scotland, and the Ukraine converged for 3 days of Kyokushin training with three top Kyokushin Karate instructors: Kancho Shokei Matsui, Shihan Bobby Lowe and Shihan Seiji Isobe.  (Info from www.kyokushin.ca )
