KYOKUSHIN WORLD UNION - THE FOUNDING CONFERENCE

   October 12, 2011, in Moscow, at the Reception House of Government of the Russian Federation, the founding Conference of the  was held.

 The event was attended by Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Russian Kyokushin Association Yuri Trutnev, the president of Kyokushin- kan International (KI) Hatsuo Royama, vice president of Kyokushinkai-kan International Hiroshige Tsuyoshi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Kyokushin Foundation Sugekava Kenji, president of the International Federation of Karate Steve Arneil, representative of the UK International Federation of Karate David Pickthall, president of Kyokushin World Federation (KWF) Loek Hollander, President of the Bulgarian Federation of Kyokushin karate-do, Ivo Kamenov, as well as representatives of the federations-members of the Russian Kyokushin Association - President of Federation of Kyokushinkai Karate-do of Russia Nikolai Nikolaevich Malikov, President of the Russian National Federation Oyama Kyokushin Karate- do Alexander Arkadievich Ipatov, president of the Federation of Kyokushin- kan karate-do of Russia Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk, president of the Federation of Kyokushinkai of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Tanyushkin. As previously stated, the Declaration on the establishment of the Kyokushin World Union was adopted at the International Conference "Kyokushin in the Modern World" (March 28, 2011., Moscow). World Union sets itself the ambitious goal - to join the ranks of an international sports association “SportAccord” as an independent sport, and thus, become an active participant in the international Olympic movement.

Already today it is clear that this historic step consolidates the main directions of karate Kyokushin, developing in the world today. The Union brings independent international organizations into one international sports federation on principles of equality.

It is expected that already this year the Kyokushin World Union will be registered in the Olympic capital of the world - Lausanne (Switzerland). Conference founding minutes of the Kyokushin World Union - KWU under which the Union begins to operate were signed.

 


THE 25TH EUROPEAN WEIGHT CATEGORY KYOKUSHIN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS VARNA 2011

    On October 15-16, The 25th European Weight Category Kyokushin Karate Championships, The 11th Open Category Kyokushin Karate Championships was held. 280 participants from 16 countries took part in the event. Main judge was shihan Antonio Pinero.
   Official opening was made by Shihan Loek Hollander (President of World Kyokushin Federation), Shihan Antonio Pinero  (President of European Kyokushin Federation) and Shihan Hristo Traikov (Vice President of World Kyokushin Federation).
   On October 14, KWF General Meeting and EKF General Meeting took place. During the KWF Board Meeting, 6 new member countries were accepted. Additionaly, Board of Members accepted the European Championships in Spain in May 2012, as well as the project of organising World Championships 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland.
   KWF Seminar, with participation of 170 members was lead by shihan Loek  Hollander (kihon),  shihan Antonio Pinero (kumite introduction), shihan Andre Drewniak (kumite combinations), shihan Hristo Traikov (MMA training) and shihan  Bertrand Kron (bunkai).

SPANISH KYOKUSHIN KARATE SUMMER CAMP BENASQUE 2011

    Spanish Kyokushin Karate Summer Camp 2011 took place in Benasque , Spain on July 28th - 31st.
   Organiser was Spanish Kyokushin Karate Organisation led by Shihan Antonio Pinero

 


38TH EAST EUROPEAN SUMMER SCHOOL KRAKOW 2011

    On July 21st - 24 The 38th East European Summer School was held in Krakow . There were about 190 participants from Austria, Czech, Germany, Poland, Moldavia and Russia.
    Leading instructors were President EKF shihan Antonio Pinero and World Kata Champion and also European Kumite Champion shihan Jose Lezkano. Program of the camp has been prepared by shihan Andre Drewniak. On the last day of the camp the examination took place. The event finished with the Sayonara Party where students performed music and comedic skits.
    Organiser of the camp was Polish Kyokushinkai Organisation. Next year, the camp is planned on July 19-22, 2012.

44TH WEST EUROPEAN SUMMER CAMP PAPENDAL 2011

   On July 7th - 10th 44th West European Summer Camp was held in Papendal (Holland). There were about 90 participants from France, Holland, Germany, Poland, Turkey, including 20 Dutch karate instructors.

   Special guests were shihan Andre Drewniak and shihan Bertrand Kron. According to plan every day took place 4-5 trainings (including the night training) under supervision of shihan Loek Hollander.

Organizer of the camp was Dutch Kyokushin Karate Organisation.
